Girls Camp

Girls camp, as always, was awesome!

Sadly I was glad this was my last one..

Leave it to Karli to make it a blast though! I don't know what I'd do without that girl on church outings..

To start off the night, Our leader has us go on the over nighter..

Just to be clear, I'm not a fan of the over nighter... if you went on one you'd know why :)

A very large dead snake skin right next to our tent. Made me feel a lot more comfortable.. :)

Before we made dinner, we decided to go on a hike.

I didn't complain because I love hiking and it was to a abandoned mine which made it a major plus!

It wasn't too long. Only 1 1/2 Miles. When we got up there we saw this abandoned shack..

I didn't dare step inside because it looked like it was about to collapse..

See what i mean? Just look at the roof! YIKES!!

And just up the trail from that was the mine!

I couldn't wait to go inside! It was so much fun!

There were still railroad tracks in it.

Most of the time we had to walk on the two rails because it was so muddy!

Some of the times the mud would come up to your ankles.

We also found random things like this tube..

we couldn't figure out what it was.

At the end was this water. Too bad the leaders wouldn't let us go for a swim..

Out of the 7 that went in.. only 3 of us made it to the end. I am very happy to say I was one of those 3 considering how big of a wuss I usually am.

Shelley and Brianna were also the other ones to make it.

Unlike me they had no fear!

On the hike there's this lovely log you have to pass to get to the other side.

I prefer bridges more than logs.. being the wuss I am, my biggest fear was falling in and drowning. I thought about that the whole way across.

So close..

And SUCCESS!

We went back to our deserted meadow, ate dinner, and went to sleep.

We had some drama that night..

First off, when me and Brianna are tired and its well over midnight, we kinda like it to sleep and not be disturbed, weird huh?? well thats what two other girls thought anyway. We'll call them Cassie and Amy.

They were in the tent right next to us. Next to them was our lovely bathroom that we made.

Well they were up till after midnight till Brianna told them to shut it and go to bed.

Her words not mine.

Well everything was finally quiet and we were able to sleep till about 5 in the morning when we heard them get up.

We here them get up, talking, unzip their tent, get out, and talk some more.

Most of the conversation went like this..

CASSIE: I'm not going to make it!

AMY: Just go! It's right there!

CASSIE: No! I can't make it!

They said this over and over for about 20 minutes. After about 10, Brianna and I finally figured out what they were talking about. Cassie needed to pee.

Remember, the bathroom is no more than 10 feet away from their tent. Then while me and Brianna are thinking why doesn't she just go so they'll be quiet and we can go back to bed? Then we here this...

"Cassie peed her pants."

So we packed up and went back to camp early so she could change her clothes..

That was the most eventful thing that happened at camp this year.

Me and Karli got bored one night so what did we do?

Grab plates and draw pictures of each other!

It was super hot one day so we came up with the best idea! Grab our chairs and sit in the river!

Very relaxing and cooled us right off!

There were countless times I almost fell in!

Thanks to Karli I had her to catch me!

Our camp theme was "THE WAY TO ALOHA" and each tent was a different island. We were Tonga! We made this awesome sign!

One the last night we had skits.

To be honest I've never been a fan of skits.

Everyone loves them except for the girls in my tent and the girls in Karlis tent. So we joined forces!

 First up was Amber's tent.. AKA Hawaii

They did something along the type of the movie ENCHANTED.

It was really cute!

Then it was me and Karli's. Tonga and Samoa United!

Since we hate skits.. we made signs that said

"This is as good as it gets"

One by one we held them up. It gave the leaders quite a laugh!

Next up was Haiti! They were my favorite!

They acted like they were on a date and they had other people be their hands.

HILARIOUS!

and that was camp. :)

It was and overall success!
