Seminary Council

We had our last get together. We had a dinner and met with next years council and gave them advice and shared some of our favorite experiences. We took pictures before. The thing i loved about Council, we all loved to joke around. The pictures say it all.
The Mug Shot

Council was the best! I loved the calling and it really is the best calling I've had yet! Brother Smith is such a great man and one of the best advisors. I'm going to miss it so much!

March Madness

Since last year, every March Jordan Seminary challenges a school to see who can read the most.
Last year we challenged our school rival Alta,
We CREAMED them.
Part of the deal was whoever wins cooks the other seminary breakfast.
It was DELICIOUS!
They were so embarassed they have asked to not be reconsidered.
So this year we have challenged Hillcrest.
Whoever loses owes the other seminary a BBQ.
So lets hope we win!
This is the video we used to introduce the challenge to Jordan and Hillcrest

Seminary Council Christmas Party

We had a Seminary Christmas party over the break at Bro Smiths house with his family and what a blast!
I've never met more out going kids!
They were so cute!
We started eating off yummy food and then went straight into the games.
We played "Minute to Win it"
One of the funniest was when they tied a tissue box by your bum filled with bells.
You had to shake and get the bells out.
Taylor won and it was hilarious to watch her and McCoy.
(Sorry the pictures are blurry. Bro Smith's daughter Sami wanted to take them)

We then played a game where three people start in the middle and try to tear open presents wrapped in duct tape while wearing a hat, gloves, and scarf and you had to use spoons to tear them open.
Hardest thing ever!
They passed around dice and when someone got doubles they had to put on the person who's been there the longest hat, gloves, and scarf and then start tearing it open.
It was very intense!

We also did white elephant. Jefferson got a princess kit. I told him to smile and I was going to take a picture then I said "Say facebook!" He didn't think that was very funny.
I thought i'd be nice and spare him this facebook picture.

Larry Gelwix!

The seminary does a thing called a morningside.
Its just like a fireside but in the morning.
At our second one we were able to have Larry Gelwix come and speak!
He is the coach of the Highland Rugby team.
He is the famous coach in the movie Forever Strong.
Highland Rugby has had over 400 wins and only 10 losses in its 30+ years of a team.
He was a very good speaker!

Setting up for Christmas

Seminary Council had to set up the Seminary building for Christmas. It took us two hours and you'll see why :)

Of course McCoy is the only one that doesn't need a chair

It took two hours because there was a lot of talking

We found a fooseball table in storage and brought that out

Bro Smith, our advisor, brought his kids and set up How To Train Your Dragon. More seminary council members watched it than his kids
